Production Diary - 6th April 2009                                                     (6th April 2009)

On Saturday 5th April 2009 we filmed scene 18 and material for the trailer which is coming along really well and should be ready for the summer festival circuit.

After a enforced hiatus, The Divider is back in a big way, Jim has been able to create the space and energy for 2009 to be a strong year for the production.

Our intention is to release photos in the gallery section as always but also to include some linked stills here of production design photos in due course.

Watch this space. See you soon

Jim

Production Diary - 17th March 2007                                                     (17th March 2007)

On Saturday the 10th of March 2006 we filmed the dramatic scene of the chemical infusion accident that creates the origins of The Divider.

Filming took place in Surbiton with Freddie tackling his most intense work yet.

Work has begun on constructing the edit of the scene and linking the footage in with previous shots completed from earlier shoots.

Jim is really happy with the way the film is coming together and filming continues at the end of March with scenes of Les Hewitt beginning his role as ex-SAS assasin for hire, Zach Collins.

News to follow of that in our next update!

Cheers for now.

Jim

Filming Update - August 2006                                                     (22nd August 2006)

The Divider cast & crew have been exceptionally busy over the last few months since filming began in February 2006.

Knowing the project would always be a long term deal, a break had to occur in the summer to allow SFM to see to other fundraising projects (West Side Story) and with Pete working in Germany, the kit was away as well.

We have resumed this month to fantastic effect.  Taking in two of the most emotional and character divisive scenes, including the funeral scenes, were filming took place in Billingshurst, West Sussex, gaining access to a Saxon era church for David's farewell to his mother.

We are now in a position to be able to begin to edit a rough cut of scenes accumulated so far.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm shown so far as we all travel on an amazing journey together.

Producing the film on my own has been a real pleasure, I am so happy with the way it is working out, our shots are looking superb and I really believe we'll have a winning film in the months to come.

Thanks to a helpful, supportive team around me, directing on my first feature has been made a comfortable experience for me and something which has been a goal of mine for a long time.

I am currently planning and writing a first draft of the sequel and working on character development from the first film which we'll put to the committee around January 2007 time.

We'll pick up again in the next few weeks so bye for now.

Cheers to all

Jim

The Divider shoot begins....                                                      (27th of February 2006)

The Divider shoot begins.....

On the weekend of the 25th & 26th February, The Divider began filming it's first scenes. SFM's first full feature length film is underway.

The actors and crew worked round the clock to deliver a brilliant start to the film. Strong performances, excellent crew support and a great team spirit ensured the weekend passed off very successfully indeed.

In the next few weeks you'll be able to see a full production diary being created by Jim and Richard on the official film website www.thedivider.com with on set stills.

Jim would again like to thank all concerned for their time and great efforts.
